FOTON’s August CAVAN Launch Separates Freight and Passenger Roles
FOTON’s August product announcement introduced two CAVAN vehicles with different transport roles. Its Chinese-language report describes Xinghai (星海) as a new-energy heavy truck and Lefu V7 (乐福V7) as a passenger-focused MPVan. FOTON positions the heavy truck around medium- and long-distance freight, while its V7 discussion includes passenger transport, business reception and commuter services. The names above identify the vehicles in the Chinese source; they should not be assumed to identify an export specification or a locally available version.
The useful distinction for buyers
The following is editorial interpretation. Putting two vehicles in one launch does not create a meaningful like-for-like comparison.
